Wenjiang cooperates with financial institutions to boost infrastructure

Wenjiang district in Chengdu signed cooperation agreements with four financial institutions on April 14 as it seeks to drum up financial support for the local economy.
The four institutions consisted of China Construction Bank’s Sichuan branch, Agricultural Bank’s Sichuan branch, Chengdu Agricultural and Commerce Bank and Chengdu Financial Holding Group.
The money from the 21 billion yuan ($ 3.25 billion) agreements will be invested in a medical, transportation, rural tourism and infrastructure construction projects.
The district plans to launch 198 major projects worth 110 billion yuan in 2016. Wenjiang district plans to strengthen ties with financial institutions to fund the projects.
