Basic situation of foreign tourists in China
According to the statistics of World Tourism Organization, in the ranking of foreign tourists and tourism income in 2011, China ranks third following France and the United States. There are 132.4053 million foreign tourists in mainland China in 2012, including 105.2137 million compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, accounting for 79.46% of foreign tourist market share and 27.1916 million foreign tourists, accounting for 20.54%. Foreign tourists mainly come from the following ten countries: South Korea, Japan, Russia, the United States, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Mongolia, the Philippines and Australia. More than half of foreign tourists are from South Korea, Japan, the United States and Russia.
