On December 1, Urumqi Intermediate People’s Court in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, together with other relevant judicial departments, held a constitution chanting activity where 100 legal workers read aloud the Connstitution of the Republic of China.

December 4 is China’s third National Constitution Day as well as the sixteenth National Legal Awareness Day -but it’s the first time that Urumqi's legal workers have such Constitution chanting activity.

Fifty judges of courts at grassroots level alongside fifty lawyers read aloud both the preamble to the Constitution and the second part of the Constitution.

The Chief Justice Bureau of Urumqi had previously declared that, “During December’s National Awareness Day, we will organize many other activities for legal publicity and people’s awareness with Constitution which is the purpose of Constitution chanting.”

“We organize the activity to make legal workers keep in mind the spirit of the Constitution, establish the sense of Constitution and improve legal services”, he concluded.
