Currently 26 provinces (including autonomous regions and municipalities) are setting up leadership teams to establish trademark strategies. Most are headed by government leaders.
With promotion from the SAIC, trademark strategies have been applied to 26 provinces and municipalities. For example, Shanxi Province has held the “Shanxi Brand Festival” for four consecutive years. It is targeted to implement the trademark strategy to enhance the development of the province. Jilin Province actively implements a brand strategy. The sales value of the agricultural products with registered trademarks of the geographical indications reached 7.6 billion Yuan. As a result, employment problems for more than 1.6 million agricultural workers have been resolved.
