Chinese opera stages on Daming Palace Pavilion

With the coming of the fifth "China Cultural Heritage Day", which falls on June 13, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition kicked off in the Daming Palace Pavilion of Urban Best Practices Area of Shanghai Expo.

At the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition themed "Listening to the traditional opera, tasting the cultural heritage", "Lao Qiang", a cultural heritage of Shaanxi province, officially unveiled in Shanghai Expo.

Exhibitions were open in Daming Palace Pavilion on June 12-15, and there were two performances at 14:00 and 16:00 respectively on each day. Daming Pavilion is a major platform to display Xi'an’s historical culture and to provide a close-up experience of Shaanxi folk customs for visitors from around the world.

In addition, viewers can enjoy hundreds of pieces of Shaanxi folk artifacts in Daming Pavilion. Most of them are generated from people’s daily life in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China, such as oil lamps and shadow puppet.
