On October 9, China’s National Heritage Board announced its first list of National Archaeological Parks, and Daming Palace National Heritage Park was selected.
After a series of procedures—application, preview, site survey and experts’ review and voting—12 projects were chosen, including the Qinshihuang Mausoleum, Yuanmingyuan Archaeological Heritage Park, and others.
These heritage parks will be well maintained and are expected to promote the economic and social development of their local communities.
