The traditional wedding of the Tang Dynasty is part of the splendid history of Xi’an, the historic capital of 13 dynasties. It not only preserves all six wedding rituals of the previous dynasties, but also incoporates many customs of other cultures, and integrates them into a unique yet colorful Tang wedding culture.

The Tang wedding has become a new fad among young couples in recent years. Many traditional Tang wedding lovers voluntarily held the grand wedding for this couple at Daming Palace National Heritage Park.

The bride was conferred the title and got married as a “Princess of Tang Dynasty.” Unlike modern Chinese weddings, the bride’s wedding gown in a Tang Dynasty wedding is in green, rather than red, which is particularly eye-catching. The whole ceremony is like a historical movie performed live.

The newly wedded couple said this traditional wedding is especially meaningful for them. It not only spreads traditional Chinese culture, but also adds cultural connotations to their romantic love.
