The Legend of Daming Palace, the first Chinese IMAX movie, has gained Xi’an more popularity and more tourists.
The local government made invested much on this movie, so as to impress and attract more tourists.
During the National Day holiday, Daming Palace had 200,000 visitors each day, and The Legend of Daming Palace, the customized movie for the heritage park, hit RMB 2.31 million at the box office. The movie has become an important advertisement for Xi’an.
“Culture is a crucial edge for big cities’ publicity, and what needs to be noted is the long-term development plan for a city,” said Duan Xiannian, vice mayor of Xi’an city.
