Celebration of the 11th Journalist Day was held on November 6 in Dehong.

Journalists and correspondents who have gained outstanding achievements in the past were presented with honorable awards.

The well-attended celebration was jointly hosted by the Publicity Department of Dehong, the Dehong Journalists Association, the Dehong Press Institute and the Dehong Media Group.

Tang Wenxiang, deputy secretary of the Dehong Prefectural Committee of the CPC, delivered his gratitude to all the journalists working in Dehong on behalf of the Dehong Prefectural Committee and the Dehong Prefectural Government.

He spoke highly of journalists’ contribution to the economic and social development. Tang also urged the media staff to follow the correct political direction, stick to principles, pursue innovations and cultivate more media talents.

Dong Jiayin, president of the Dehong Media Group, said that the Dehong Media Group played an active role in the past year in publicizing Dehong, and the group would continue to serve the economic and social development of Dehong.
