The Yunnan Provincial Conference on Yearbooks, Periodicals and Cartography was held in Dehong on Feb 25, 2011.

During the meeting, Kong Legan, deputy governor of Dehong, presented an overview of Dehong and read out the relevant instructions of superiors.

Yu Weiping, the chief editor of "China Chronicles", gave some suggestions on how to improve local periodicals.

Discussions then took place about various issues facing the yearbook, periodical, and newsletter industries and a number of constructive comments and suggestions were raised.

Li Yishi, director of Yunnan local publications office, said that they would carefully study these suggestions and strive to create better conditions for other local departments.
