Horticulturalist Zhang Miaogen shows his narcissus bulbs in Caiban village, Zhangzhou city in East China’s Fujian province, Sept 2. Narcissus, a genus of plants that originated around the Mediterranean coast, was introduced to China more than 1,300 years ago via the Maritime Silk Road.
