Longyan’s first innovation and entrepreneurship base, Tengyun maker space, brings together experienced market players and ambitious young entrepreneurs to push for industrial transformation that requires the combination of capital, talents and promising projects, according to Chen Yongyang, president of Longyan e-commerce association, which is one of the founders of the maker space.
The maker space has served more than 3,000 entrepreneurs and their start-up businesses, and hosted 50 networking events and roadshows, said Liu Tianlai, partner of the Xiamen branch of Open.QQ.com—Tencent’s maker space brand—who is also a co-founder of the maker space.

4j3c.com, an online retail platform and delivery service for fresh local produce, expects to get the funding it needs to expand its business nationwide in the next round of roadshows hosted by the maker space.
The platform, with more than 30,000 households registered for membership, receives 2,000 orders daily. But its delivery service is limited to within 40 kilometers from downtown Longyan presently.
