The Ninth Global Chinese-language Media Forum was inaugurated in Fuzhou, provincial capital of South China's Fujian province on Sept 10.
More than 470 Chinese-language media representatives from over 60 countries and regions gathered together in the city, jointly exploring the topics themed around the "Belt and Road Initiative" and "Chinese-language media's new development".
In addition to the main forum, the three-day event also includes a series of parallel forums and keynote speeches.
After the forum, the attendees are also expected to carry on onsite trips to many cities in China such as Changchun, Chengdu, Jinan and Guiyang.
Jointly sponsored by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, China News Service, and the local government, the forum has been held for consecutive eight years and grown into one of the most influential Chinese-language media forums across the world.
