Fuzhou was well-prepared for an innovative and excellent event, said Wang Xiuli, executive vice president of the organizing committee, during the third liaison meeting of the 5th National Special Olympics, which is to be held in Fuzhou on Sept 19.
“Since successfully bidding for the Games, thousands of workers have put efforts in the building of the Disabled Athletes Sports Administration Center and Fujian Sports Center, advancing the construction work with passion, high-standard and high-quality,” she said.
Wang described the special sports meeting as the largest scale of its kind, and therefore more people and more complications would show up. She called for the host unit and contestants to work together wholeheartedly to achieve innovative and outstanding performances.
