Fujian Pingnan Industrial Park is a provincial industrial park reserved in the fifth review announcement of the National Development and Reform Commission. Its total planned control area is 666.67 hectares. Yitou Industrial Zone of the park will develop 333.3 hectares in the first phase. The Pingning Grade-2 Highway runs through the zone. The traffic conditions are very good.

Pingnan is famous for hydropower in Fujian and throughout the country. Electricity there is cheap. This industrial zone will mainly develop light industry, textile, food processing, tourist handiwork and other ecology friendly industries and will also build trade, sightseeing, administrative, commercial and residential housing and other supporting facilities. It will be a high-grade, functional, modern, comprehensive industrial zone catering to industry, trade, culture and tourism. It is an ideal place for business investment. At present, a number of enterprises are negotiating matters concerning their settlement in the zone.
