Pingnan holds mountain climb race to celebrate New Year

More than 400 local residents participated in a mountain climbing race on Jan 4 to celebrate the New Year.

The event was sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Pingnan committee, the Communist Youth League Pingnan Committee, and China Telecom Pingnan Branch.

The participants set off from the Black Dragon Pool and the race ended at Tianping Mountain. Chen Jianzhang was declared the men’s champion and Zhang Jiagang was the women’s champion.

This is the 4th year that Pingnan has organized such a race to welcome the New Year.
