Cheng Shuping, secretary of the CPC Pingnan County Committee, and Wu Yunming, acting head of the county, visited the sites of several of Pingnan’s livelihood projects on the first day after the Spring Festival holiday, pingnan.net reported on Feb 7.

The Pingnan government plans to invest $278.85 million to develop 22 provincial and municipal key projects. The West Ring Road project – at a cost of $105 million – is expected to increase the size of the county.

Additionally, the authorities aim to promote industries such as tourism and entertainment, and the first phase of the preparation work for this project has already been completed.

The government is aiming to protect the legal rights and interests of the county’s residents, and has urged banks to offer financial support so as to ensure that the projects will be completed on schedule and on budget.
