More than 40 students of the Pingnan Seniors College visited the Jitou Gengdu Culture Expo Garden in the county on March 11 and learnt about Pingnan's Gengdu culture.
Gengdu culture dates back to the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC), and advocated a combination of learning and farming. In ancient China, people generally gave high regard to learning while looking down on farming. However, thanks to the Gengdu culture, many people devoted themselves to farming and became experts in agriculture.
Jitou Gengdu Culture Expo Garden is a combination of ten museums which include a history museum,an agricultural culture museum, and an honesty museum. Over 10,000 antiques are on display there.
The students took many photos during their visit and learnt a great deal about Gengdu culture.
