Pingnan to build a new tourist resort

Zhuoda Group, an international real estate company, has signed a cooperation agreement with Pingnan county, Fujian province to set up a new tourist resort in Pingnan.

The project will invest 20 billion yuan ($3.3 billion) building an 86-million-square-meter tourist zone, which will integrate ecological farms, sightseeing agriculture, a health sanatorium and cultural exhibitions. An industrial park for new materials with an investment of 1 billion yuan ($163 million) is expected to provide 10,000 job vacancies and create an annual revenue of over 200 million yuan ($ 33 million).

Pingnan, which is located to the west of the Taiwan Straits, has maintained rapid development in 2014, and received 2.45 million tourists in the first 10 months. The county aims to develop the economy using its geographical, ecological and cultural advantages.
