Fujian People's Congress starts annual session

The Third Session of the 12th Fujian People's Congress convened on Wednesday, Jan 28, and will run through until Feb 1.

During the five-day period, the Congress, which is Fujian's legislative body, will hear and review a working report by the Fujian Provincial Government.
It is also expected to review last year's budget implementation, and approve an overall development plan as well as a draft budget plan for 2015.
The heads of the provincial Supreme Court and People's Procuratorate will deliver their annual work reports.
The Congress will elect a new deputy director and members of its standing committee, and a new Fujian Vice Governor.
