Fujian sets 2015 GDP growth target

At the third session of the 12th Fujian Provincial People’s Congress that opened on Jan 28, Su Shulin, the provincial governor, reported the work of the government and laid out economic and social development goals for 2015, including a 10 percent growth in GDP.

The government forecast covers provincial economic and social development of the year 2015 and notes that local public revenue is expected to grow by 9 percent, fixed asset investments at 18 percent, and exports at 6 percent in 2015.
The urban unemployment rate is expected to remain at or below 4.2 percent while retail sales are expected to increase by 14 percent. The consumer price index is expected to grow lower than 3 percent, but urban incomes will go up 9.5 percent and rural incomes, 10 percent.
Su said the provincial government will study the economic new normals, seize historical opportunities, and exploit the unique advantages of Fujian, to achieve the goal.
