The Qingkou Cultural and Sports Center of Minhou county, Fuzhou, is expected to finish its construction before Spring Festival, the Fuzhou Evening News reported on Feb 3. The venue is to host the boxing competition of the first National Youth Games in October, 2015.
The center, covering a total area of over 36,000 square meters, consists of an indoor gymnasium and natatorium and a number of outdoor courts for basketball, tennis and football.
It is also known as Fuzhou's "Water Cube", as its membrane structure looks resemble the National Aquatics Center in Beijing.
