CCTV feature highlights Baiyin’s traffic safety education

A China Central Television (CCTV) crew visited Baiyin city in Northwest China’s Gansu province on Nov 25, to shoot a segment on teaching traffic safety to children, as part of a feature that aired on National Traffic Safety Day on Dec 2.
The local traffic police showed the crew an educational video for children, and the visitors then headed to NO 4 Primary School of Baiyin district, Baiyin city, to shoot a lesson on traffic safety involving simulation.
The officers also talked to the students about traffic rules and how to prevent accidents and distributed brochures.
The Baiyin traffic police division has taken measures to promote traffic safety education for children, and officers have given lectures to more than 20,000 students at 28 primary schools.
