New highway to link Gansu and Hubei

The construction of the Shiyan-Tianshui expressway's Gansu section has entered the final stages. With 20.62 billion yuan of investment, the Shiyan-Tianshui expressway will reduce transportation time and cost among three provinces— Gansu, Shaanxi and Hubei.

The 750-km-long expressway linking Shiyan, Hubei province and Tianshui city, Gansu province is expected to be completed by the end of 2015 when the Gansu section is finished.

The highway's sections in Shaanxi and Hubei provinces are already open to traffic.
