Lanzhou's first polar ocean world opens to the public

Lanzhou city, capital of Gansu province officially opened its first polar ocean world on Jan 24, attracting many visitors to experience the marine world.
Lanzhou's polar ocean world leads the country as the aquarium stands on the highest elevation at approximately 1,600 meters above sea level. It's also the first of its kind in Gansu province and is expected to become one of the top tourist attractions in Lanzhou.

Covering 14,000 square meters, the ocean world was built using 300 million yuan ($45.6 million) of investment.

There are seven main attractions, including a tropical ocean area, jellyfish aquarium and diving zone. Visitors can view sea lion performances as well as feeding and taking photos with various marine animals.
Tickets for the ocean park start at 180 yuan per person.
