Apricot blossoms have sprung up and begun to bloom in Tangwang town, Dongxiang county, Gansu province in April, decorating the mountains and fields with delicate pink flowers.
Tangwang is known as the "No 1 apricot blossom town in Gansu". The area boasts rich and fertile soil, a mild climate, beautiful mountains, flowing rivers and pleasant visitor attractions such as Hongta Temple.
Apart from apricots, there is also an abundance of sunflowers and jujube.
Tangwang is 60 kilometers from the provincial capital Lanzhou and 55 kilometers away from Linxia city. It is an important gateway sitting along the Silk Road, an ancient trade road linking Northwest China, West Asia and Europe.
