A public vote was held in Gansu to determine the province's 100 best cultural tourism products, reported the Lanzhou Morning Post on April 27.

The 100 items collected included the area's top 10 most influential tourist destinations, which will be printed onto 100 "visiting cards" to be distributed to visitors wishing to explore the best that Gansu has to offer.

Locations such as the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang city, and cultural practices such as paper cutting skills in Qingyang city and shadow puppet show of Huanxian county were honored as the most influential cultural products from Gansu.

The votes were collected by Gansu's tourism bureau, divided into eight key categories, such as scenic areas, specialties, cultural products and local brands, and reviewed by a team of experts before being formalized onto the "visiting cards".

The event was backed by the Gansu Publicity Department, provincial commerce department and tourism development commission.
