Aerobatic shows decorates the sky in NW China

The three-day Silk Road International General Aviation Convention saw aerobatic flight displays, a general aviation expo, summit and forums on aviation development, and a signing ceremony for an agreement to explore Zhangye tourism.

The Gansu General Aviation Association was also established at the convention.

Experts discussed issues of short-distance passenger and cargo transportation, general aviation airport construction and management, the aviation industry and industrial parks.

The event was co-organized by the Zhangye city government, Gansu Provincial Highway Aviation Tourism Investment Group Co and the Chinese Flight Test Establishment.

Zhangye city was appointed to hold such a convention annually. Zhangye Danxia General Aviation Airport, with investment of 220 million yuan ($32.94 million), was designated as the site of the convention.

Participants at the event included delegates from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the General Administration of Sports and Aviation Industry Corporation of China, and 17 aviation enterprises and journalists from 26 media agencies.

Guests were also shown around Zhangye’s economic and technological park, national wetland park and general aviation enterprises.
