The authorities have made great efforts to promote the industrial development of Baiyin, Gansu province, since 2011.
The city aims to build an industrial cluster with a planned area of more than 300 square kilometers, consisting of Baiyin High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, which was established in 2002, and six industrial parks - Yindong, Yinxi, Liuchuan, Pingchuan, Zhenglu and Huining.
The industrial parks hope to expand their annual sales to 150 billion yuan ($24.5 billion) by the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-15) and 300 billion yuan by the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020).
