On 21 October, 2015, a ten-people delegation from Ecuador, including Mr. Poveda, Rafael, Minister of Strategic Coordination; Mr. Faust Herrera, Minister of Finance; Mr. Paul Villarreal, Secretary General of Deputy President Office, and Mr. Jose Maria Borja, Ecuador’s Ambassador to China, visited CGGC International. Mr. Yang Yisheng, Deputy Chief Economist of CGGC, Director of International Business Department and Deputy General Manager of CGGC International, met the delegation ardently.

Mr. Yang briefly introduced the overall development of CGGC and its operation in Latin America, expressed gratitude to the Government of Ecuador for its strong support, and had an in-depth conversation about the infrastructure and investment of CGGC in Ecuador with the delegation. Mr. Yang Yisheng said that CGGC, as one of the Chinese enterprises entering the market of Ecuador early, had contracted several civil projects including Sopladora Hydropower Station, Bulubulu Flood Control Project, Blue Mountain Tunnel Project and Millennium School Project. Going forward, CGGC will continue to deepen mutual trust and beneficial cooperation in infrastructure construction in Ecuador, expanding models of investment cooperation so as to further benefit the people of Ecuador.
The delegation spoke highly of CGGC’s contribution to economic development of Ecuador, appreciated its good performance in construction projects in Ecuador, and expressed gratitude to CGGC for its active fulfillment of social responsibilities and generous contribution to the public welfare in Ecuador. Mr. Poveda Rafael, Minister of Strategic Coordination, also introduced to Mr. Yang Yisheng Ecuadorian strategic infrastructure development plan. He said that Ecuador welcomed CGGC to invest in the energy infrastructure, promote local economic and social development and benefit the Ecuadorian people; in return, his Government would continue to support and assist CGGC in its business expansion.
