Makassar, Indonesia March 4th (CNS) – On March 3rd, CGGC-affiliated Project Management Division, the initiator of EPC general contracting project of Indonesia Takara coal-fired power station, organized an activity to implement social responsibility in the theme of Delivering Sincere Love, Helping Youth Education in Jeneponto City, the location of the project.
At the event, managers from CGGC Project Management Division donated studying and recreational necessities such as school bags, stationeries and footballs towards needy children representatives of local schools surrounding the jobsite, manifesting CGGC’s corporate image of fulfilling social responsibility and bringing benefits to local people. Being highlighted by the local government, the event ceremony was participated in by Mayor of Jeneponto City, local officers, the owner of this project and principal representatives of related schools under assistance, who sincerely complimented CGGC on its active project performance and enthusiastic efforts in promoting the educational conditions for local underprivileged children. In addition, they expressed their support as always for CGGC’s implementation of Takara Project by creating favorable exterior environment. Local media reported the activity.

The 2×100MW Takara Coal-fired Power Station Project, located at Punagaya Village, Jeneponto City, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, is jointly contracted, organized and executed by CGGC, CEEC and local companies in Indonesia. Owned by the State Electric Company of Indonesia, this project is contracted for 33 months. Since it was commenced on May 4th, 2015 witnessed by Joko Widodo, President of Indonesia, by video, this project has been in implementation smoothly so far. Benefiting from buyer credits as the capital source loaned by The Export-Import Bank of China, this project has contributed substantially to the local employment and taxation. Upon completion, it will obviously mitigate the intension of power shortage in South Sulawesi Province and guarantee the energy supply for the speedy development of local economy.
