On December 2nd, Mr. Chen Xiaohua, Member of Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CGGC, President of CGGC International and CGGC Overseas Investment Co., Ltd (CGGC Overseas Investment) visited Mr. U Pe Zin Tun, Myanmar's Minister of Electricity and Energy in Naypyidaw, the Capital City of Myanmar.
The two parties had a friendly and fruitful meeting. Mr. Chen Xiaohua thanked the Ministry of Electricity and Energy of Myanmar for its support and assistance to CGGC's development in Myanmar, and introduced CGGC's overall strength in project contracting and investment, its global deployment, and its operation status in Myanmar. He expressed that Myanmar is one of the traditional markets of CGGC and a significant country along the Belt and Road, and CGGC pays high attention to its development in Myanmar driven by both project contracting and project investment. CGGC will give full play to the company's advantages in technology, management, investment and financing, accelerate the construction of Myanmar's electrical energy projects, and raise the standard of living for people of Myanmar.
The Minister spoke highly of CGGC's overall strength as one of the world's large international contractors and expected CGGC to continue its engagement in construction and investment in the field of Myanmar's electrical energy infrastructure. Myanmar will constantly expand cooperation with CGGC particularly on power grid and fuel gas projects, which will help promote the economic development of Myanmar and raise the standard of living for its people.
Prior to the meeting with the Minister, Mr. Chen also visited Mr. Hong Liang, Ambassador of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.
