The launching ceremony for the 2015 Zhanjiang Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Zhanjiang on Sept 18.

The competition has four stages, namely registration, audition, semifinal and final. It will run from Sept 18 to Nov 15.

Applicants will be divided into three groups: creative, enterprise and e-commerce. First, second and third prizes will be awarded within each group. The highest prize will be 50,000 yuan ($7,850).

From Sept 18 to Oct 15, individuals, teams and enterprises can sign up for the competition on the official website of the Zhanjiang Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. In person on-site registration is also available.

The city of Zhanjiang plans to hold this kind of competition each year to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative projects, inspire young people's passion for entrepreneurship, and encourage more and more creative programs to emerge and succeed in Zhanjiang.
