China Marine Economy Expo opens in Zhanjiang

The 2015 China Marine Economy Expo started in earnest in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province on Nov 26.
The Expo, which will last to Nov 29 attracted more than 1,600 exhibiting companies from 43 countries and regions.
With the theme of "innovation-driven win-win cooperation", the Expo has four pavilions, namely, the International Pavilion, the National Pavilion, the Industry Pavilion and the Military Pavilion.
The total exhibition area of this year's Expo exceeds 200,000 square meters to house 2,633 booths, up 30 percent over last year.

A number of activities such as Marine Economy Summit, project promotion events, cooperation meetings, product release conferences and investment seminars will be held during the Expo, providing a comprehensive exchange platform for participants.
The Marine Maker Festival will showcase innovative products as part of the Expo, creating a display platform for domestic and foreign makers.
Winners of the 2015 China (Zhanjiang) Marine Science and Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition will also exhibit their projects at the Festival.
Organized by the State Oceanic Administration and Guangdong Provincial Government, the Expo is China's most comprehensive maritime event.
It aims to showcase the latest oceanic developments from China and the rest of the world and to build a platform for international maritime cooperation.
