Online service platform speeds up Zhanjiang customs

Updated: 2016-06-30

Enterprises in Zhanjiang now only need to declare their goods online if they arrive at ports in west Guangdong, thanks to the launch of an online service platform by the city's customs office on June 29.

With the help of the platform, enterprises will be able to process customs faster and more efficiently. They will even be able to check and arrange delivery times via popular mobile messaging app WeChat.

"I checked out the delivery status of our goods on my mobile phone on my way to the office in the morning and declared them as soon as I logged into the platform on my computer," said an employee surnamed Zhu from Guangdong Guanhao High-tech Co. "The goods were declared in 11 seconds!"

The new platform provides a one-stop free declaration service in west Guangdong ports for enterprises through integrating a multiple of smart applications. It is an important part of the reform and integration development of ports in Zhanjiang, according to Wang Kan, deputy director of Zhanjiang customs office.
