Zhanjiang seeks closer trade ties with ASEAN via online platform

Zhanjiang will open a trade platform on www.caacoop.com, China-ASEAN Agricultural Cooperation Network (CAACN) to seek market expansion of agricultural and marine products to ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries.
The signing ceremony took place at Guangdong Yinxin United Technologies on April 10, and was attended by Party officials and project leaders.
CAACN is a B2B trading service platform integrating online payment, financial services, logistics and insurance. Agricultural and sideline products, agricultural products, and machinery are the main commodity categories sold to ASEAN countries. So far, it has 27 partners from home and abroad.
The coastal city of Zhanjiang in Guangdong has enjoyed good trade ties with ASEAN countries such as Vietnam and Cambodia.
The platform to be built will integrate online and offline channels and enhance cooperative relationships with ASEAN members and cities around Beibu Gulf.
Guangdong Yinxin United Technologies will be responsible for the platform operation while CAACN will provide supporting funds of 5 billion yuan ($725.6 million) for the project.
The cold-chain logistics center the company built in Zhanjiang will provide integrated services from production to transport to assist the project.
