Fangchenggang's urban air quality ranks first in Guangxi in October

The October list of Guangxi cities' urban air quality was released by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Department of Environmental Protection on Nov 13. Fangchenggang ranks first on the list, while Liuzhou and Hechi remain in the last two places.

Guangxi carried out air quality monitoring in all its 14 cities, testing the sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, PM10, PM2.5, carbon monoxide and ozone concentrations.

In October, the mean value of Guangxi's PM10 concentration reached 73 micrograms per cubic meter, a decrease of 24 percent compared with the same period last year. The average PM2.5 concentration was at 46 micrograms per cubic meter and the air quality comprehensive index was 4.55.
