The 2015 Vietnam-China (Moncay-Dongxing) International Business & Travel Fair opened in Moncay, Guang Ninh province, Vietnam, on Dec 16.
Mo Changying, vice chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Political Consultative Conference; Du Shenghai, deputy minister of the Industry and Trade Department of Vietnam; and Li Guangsong, vice chairman of Guang Ninh Provincial People's Council, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
The fair will last for five days, ending on Dec 20. With the theme of "Cooperate for Friendship, Achieve Mutual Development", it includes activities such as a social economy achievement exhibition, a China-Vietnam commodity fair, an investment promotion meeting, a tennis competition, a cross-border tourism self-driving activity and a golf invitational tournament. It has attracted many government officials and businessmen from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Maocao, Taiwan, and even South Korea.
The fair has more than 400 standard booths. Over 80 Chinese enterprises are exhibiting commodities such as automobiles, electrical appliances, foods, processed agricultural products and clothes in 100 booths.
This is the 10th session of the fair, which has become one of the most important platforms deepening economic and trade cooperation between China and Vietnam. Primary statistics show that more than 4,500 enterprises have taken part in the previous fairs and signed contracts worth nearly 50 billion yuan ($7.72 billion).
