Mulberry trees

Du’an County develops its silkworm and other industries mainly in its eastern towns and, by 2013, had up to 3,027 hectares in mulberry trees, resulting in an output of fresh cocoons of 80,200, and an income from silkworm of 180 million yuan. Planting mulberry trees for silkworm development has become a new way of increasing farmers’ income in Du’an’s mountains areas.
