The Yaoling River Rafting Resort in Du’an county

It is conveniently located in Du’an Yao Autonomous County, Hechi City, Guangxi. The planned scenic zone covers an area of 428 hectares. Along the river banks stand strangely-shaped peaks and dense and thick vegetation. It is one of the most typical areas with karst landforms in China.

Quite a few Yao villages are scattered along one side of the upstream, which are simple and unpretentious. These villages are Arcadia-like places which lie between green mountains and clear waters.

The scenic zone integrates various ecological landscapes, including lakes, mountains, rivers, caves, springs, waterfalls and valleys. The whole rafting site is about 5 kilometers long, and 90% of the journey is along gorges with high mountains on both sides. Along the way, there are 16 beaches and 8 turns. The drop in elevation is 120 meters throughout the whole journey and the biggest single drop in elevation is 20 meters. Moreover, there are various waterfalls with different heights and different shapes. The rafting trip is adventurous and thrilling. In parts of the trail, gently undulating waves allow tourists to forget the noisy cities, their everyday worries and to enjoy to their heart’s content the pleasure of contending with and exploring nature.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
