Hechi’s health projects receive 182 million yuan funding from central government

Hechi seized the opportunity of central government’s investment in public health care increasing in recent years and received 182 million yuan ($29.7 million) funds for its health projects till Sept 15 of this year, with a year-on-year growth of 94 percent. A total of 488 projects in five special projects received the funds.

The budget allocation from central government for some health projects such as county disease control centers, health care for women and children and countryside hospitals is 20 million yuan – almost the same as last year. However, 447 village clinics have received 22 million yuan funding fromcentral government for the first time.

What’s more, the Hechi Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) General Practitioner Clinical Training Base has received 22 million yuan. The Paediatric Centre of Hechi People’s Hospital has received 35 million yuan funding as the only project for children’s health care that got investment from the central government in Hechi. Another four county TCM hospitals have also received 82 million yuan this year.

The investment from the central government this year in Hechi’s health projects has hit a record high. The health projects will improve the health care system in Hechi, promote its TCM and provide better health care services for Hechi’s people.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
