A list of the "National Top 100 Brands of Agricultural Products from 100 Cooperatives" was recently released by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Nandan county's Baping rice from the Yaojia Ecological Agriculture Specialized Cooperative was the only brand chosen this time from Hechi, Guangxi.

Baping village in Nandan county abounds in rice production. Its local soil is rich in organic matter and has excellent water and fertilizer retention, making the rice one of the leading industries in the county's modern featured agricultural demonstration area. Due to its good taste and reputation for health, Baping rice has received national recognition for quality and as a non-polluted agricultural product. It appeared in the "National Famous and Special Agricultural Products Directory" in 2014.

To develop the brand of Baping rice, Nandan county applied the industrial linkage pattern of "company + cooperative + base + farmer households" and formed an integrated system for production, supply and marketing. No pesticides are used in the rice production to offer customers natural ecological organic food.

This year, the planting area of Baping rice in Nandan reached 11,200 mu (746.67 hectares).
