Chinese Villagers' Autonomy Exhibition Center

The Chinese Villagers' Autonomy Exhibition Center is the first national professional venue to display the historical context and the development achievements of the system of self-governance at the grass-roots level in China's rural areas. [Photo/yzdzw.gov.cn]

The Chinese Villagers' Autonomy Exhibition Center was built under the approval of the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 2010, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China's first villagers' committee of Hezhai village in Yizhou district of Hechi.

The center is the first national professional venue to display the historical context and the development achievements of the system of self-governance at the grass-roots level in China's rural areas.

The exhibition center covers a total display area of 1,500 square meters. It displays more than 1,000 items and has over 20,000 collections. The exhibition is mainly composed of pictures, words, and objects, combined with the use of modern technologies in sound, light, and the internet.

Location: No 28 Fengjing Road, Yizhou district, Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
