Donglan county starts construction of public cultural projects

Donglan county in Hechi held a commencement ceremony for the construction of major projects on July 23, which include Donglan Museum and Donglan Library, two public cultural projects that are of great significance to boosting Donglan's public cultural undertakings.

With a total investment of 124.53 million yuan ($17.77 million), Donglan Museum and Donglan Library will be built in Xiangyang New City, Donglan county.

Donglan Library is a medium-sized library, with a building area of 2,400 square meters, a total construction area of 11,996.6 sq m, and a planned collection of about 400,000 books. Donglan Museum is a new medium-sized museum, with a total construction area of 11,998.2 sq m and a building area of 3,300 sq m. It will mainly consist of exhibition halls, a cultural relics collection library, and corresponding supporting rooms.

After completion, the library and museum will become landmark projects of cultural construction in Donglan county, as well as new public cultural service and activity centers for the public.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
