The county has further optimized its rural road network structure. At present, the secondary road from Tian'e to Fengshan has been completed and opened to traffic, while the road from Tian'e to Donglan (Tian'e section) is expected to be completed in April 2021.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, Tian’e has invested 8.79 million yuan ($1.31 million) into building 18 inter-village network roads. The county has granted subsidies for commuting passenger cars to each organized village at the rate of 50,000 yuan. The county has implemented a total of 47 rural road security projects, rectified 151 kilometers of roads with hidden dangers, conducted seven narrow roadbed widening and reconstruction projects spanning 41.7 kilometers, as well as completed 11 dangerous bridge reconstruction projects, with a total investment of 5.98 million yuan. The county has also promoted the greening of county roads.

In addition, the county has promoted the Hongshui River Longtan hub wharf construction project and the Longtan ship lift project, building a total of 12 convenient wharves. The county has 407 km of waterways under its jurisdiction, including 163 km of graded waterways and 244 km of off-grade waterways.
