Co-sponsored by National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Natural Resources and Environment, Peking University, Guiyang Political Committee and Municipality of PRC, the Eco-Forum Global has been held on August 22nd, 2009 in the city of Guiyang.

The 2 days' Forum has delivered keynote speeches and has been sub-divided into 4 major themes, namely, eco-city, scientists, eco-education and communication. Over the forum, Guiyang Consensus, has been reached, which is quite enlightening in fostering ecological civilization and green economy. It is presumed in Guanyang Consencus it is not optional but inevitable for human society to advance into eco-civilization toward which Guiyang city and Guizhou province are going.
