The China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverage Expo is set to welcome the world's top alcoholic products, with more than 660 Chinese and 445 foreign enterprises participating in the event.

Ninety-seven enterprises from France, 84 from Spain, 49 from Italy, 26 from Australia and 20 from Germany will take part in the exhibition held in Guiyang, in southwest China's Guizhou province, according to provincial authorities.

As a region inhabited by 48 ethnic groups, Guizhou will adopt modern exhibition concepts and high-tech measures to integrate international and ethnic elements. The expo will be both a cultural and business event, said Shen Xiaoqing, head of the province's commerce department.

The exhibitions will be held in eight halls at the Guiyang International Exhibition Center.

Hall 1 will host global brand names. It plans to exhibit world-famous spirits, wine and beer as well as the top ten Chinese liquor, wine and beer products. It will also demonstrate the history and culture of famous alcoholic beverages.

Hall 2 will display each country's alcohol culture. Each participating country is expected to display products from more than five companies (excluding the brand names included in Hall 1).

Hall 3 will exhibit the unique features of each Chinese province's alcohol culture and industry.

Hall 4 will show the history, legacy and culture of Guizhou's alcohol industry.

Halls 5 and 6 will display Chinese baijiu (white liquor) products.

Hall 7 will host wine and beer products, including fermented, distilled and mixed liquor.

Hall 8 will display ancillary liquor products, such as packaging and manufacturing technologies.
