By the end of January 2013, there were 29,239 registered micro-enterprises in Guizhou, with total registered capital reaching 3.58 billion yuan ($57.36 million) and 163,100 new job opportunities.

Utilizing industrial parks, business incubators and industrial resource advantages, counties (cities and districts) in Guizhou have set up 657 micro-enterprise projects and 306 reserve projects.

The progress lays a good foundation for micro-enterprise development.

Bijie city, Guizhou province, issues 10 million yuan annually to encourage the establishment of micro-enterprises.

The Qiandongnan prefecture has made full use of unused factory buildings to set up 35 micro-enterprise incubator parks, bases and streets. Thanks to chattel mortgages, pledge of stock rights, tax incentives for pledging and the establishment of a micro-enterprise financing service system, the industrial and commercial sectors in Guizhou have solved various financing difficulties and helped 9,721 micro-enterprises raise 670 million yuan.

Currently, 19,047 micro-enterprises in Guizhou have received 1.12 billion yuan in government financial aid; 2,151 micro-enterprises have received 284 million yuan in loans.
