Cui Yadong, the director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Public Security, recently met with Pansiri Prapawat, police general and vice-commissioner-general of the Royal Thai Police.

Cui Yadong welcomed the Thai police delegation on behalf of the Guizhou provincial government and introduced briefly the current situation of crime and social management in Guizhou.

The friendly cooperation between the Chinese and Thai police is important to the bilateral relationship of the two countries. The police from the two countries have maintained a cooperative relationship for a long time and have made significant achievements, said Cui.

The visit provided an opportunity for the police of the two countries to learn from each other and improve their work performance. The Thai police hope that regional law enforcement under the framework of Sino-Thai police affairs cooperation will be enhanced. The police of the two countries could cooperate more intensively in fighting against transnational crimes such as drug trafficking, said Pansiri Prapawat.

The Thai police delegation and the Guizhou Provincial Department of Public Security also exchanged ideas on anti-drug campaigns and the Sunshine Anti-Drug Project. The Thai police delegation will pay visits to Sunshine Anti-Drug Projects in various places in Guizhou province.
