Guiyang residents choose fresh produce in a community produce shop.

Guiyang will open 100 more community produce shops this year, providing cheaper, fresh produce for residents. The produce will be 15 to 30 percent cheaper than those in neighboring markets, said the Guiyang bureau of commerce.

Guiyang opened 152 community produce shops last year. The 100 additional shops this year will cover all 10 districts in the city.

In addition, Guiyang will support the sustainable operation and management of the produce shops to stabilize produce prices and ensure produce supply.
